My third art show Trip opened last week and will run until the end of the year. The 12 images were chosen from 29 images by a panel of friends giving their views on their favourite images. Each work was bespoke custom-framed. Some were embellished with gold, blood and diamonds.
The images are of water drops, capturing a tiny moment of time. In this instance a fluid resembles a solid. Some of the photos were taken with underwater lens looking up at the water drop.
The shapes taken by these water drops are like a Rorschach test in which subjects’ perceptions of inkblots are recorded and analyzed. Different people see different things in the shapes.
The names are my own interpretations of these shapes which appear and disappear in a fraction of a millisecond.
